Korea has extended the temporary K-ETA exemption for the nationalities already covered by the measure through December 31, 2026. The official K-ETA system displays an exemption notice when an eligible passport is scanned during the application flow.
Exempt travelers may still choose to apply and pay the K-ETA fee if they want benefits associated with holding an authorization, including exemption from a separate arrival declaration where applicable. Existing approvals remain valid until their stated expiry and are not refunded.
Visa-free entry rules depend on nationality, passport type, and travel purpose. Travelers should check the official K-ETA and diplomatic-mission guidance shortly before departure rather than relying on an old screenshot or a travel blog.
