Looking for a friend - 22 years old

Community

Christ, I'm bored.

I'm 2nd gen Korean-American, but I look Korean, so it's impossible for me to find friends around here. The Koreans don't talk to me because I'm Korean and the foreigners won't talk to me because they think I'm Korean and can't speak a word of English. There are some days when I just feel like walking up to some Canadian and going, "Yeah, I can speak English. So how are you?"

Pathetic, I know. I mean, I'm posting on CL,for crying out loud.

I'm looking for a friend with similiar interests. THIS IS NOT A PLEA FOR A BOYFRIEND. I already have one, but the problem is, we've got nothing alike. He's a dreamer and I'm heartbreakingly pragmatic. He likes talking about King Arthur, but quite frankly, I couldn't give a rat's ass what happened to The Lady of the Lake. All of my friends have moved on and out of Korea, and lately, I find myself sitting in front of my laptop longer and longer and longer, and, well, you get the idea.

I'm an unrepentant geek and I'm not afraid to flaunt it. I like to play DnD, video games (Halo rocks my socks), RPGs, Magic: The Gathering, and I'm a big fan of anime, and zombie movies. I'm a writer and I write about sex (mostly). I like music, I sing, and I like to eat. I'm also broke most of the time, so let's not do expensive things, right?

I don't care what you look like. You can be man, woman, she-man, alien, who cares. You can be fat, skinny, smart, stupid, I don't really care just as long as I've got someone to talk to, and meet sometimes to geek over the latest Magic: The Gathering card or some funny anime that just came out.

Don't worry about sending pics, although if we ever do meet, one might come in handy. Unless you were white. Which in that case, it wouldn't be necessary, because you'll probably be the only white person in whatever area we're meeting at.

Cheers.
