JUMP Show Seoul: Comic Martial Arts at Myungbo Art Hall
A family of martial arts masters. Two very unlucky burglars. Eighty minutes of action and laughter, with no Korean required.
Looking for a live show in Seoul that you can enjoy without speaking Korean? JUMP is a non-verbal comic martial arts performance that brings together Taekwondo, Taekkyeon, acrobatics and playful family drama. Performed at Myungbo Art Hall in Jung-gu, the 80-minute show tells its story through movement, expressions and comic timing.
For international visitors and residents, it offers a way to experience Korean martial arts in a theater setting, whether you are planning a family outing, meeting friends or adding a performance to your Seoul itinerary.

What is the JUMP show about?
Meet a household where martial arts training is part of everyday life. Led by an eccentric grandfather and joined by a troublesome, frequently tipsy uncle, this is a family with a combined 117 dan in martial arts, according to the show's premise.
As they prepare to welcome a special guest, training sessions and unexpected mishaps turn the house upside down. Then two burglars pick the wrong home to break into. What follows is a fast-moving collision of slapstick, choreographed fights and acrobatic surprises.
The humor is visual, so you do not need to follow Korean dialogue or read subtitles to understand the action.
Korean martial arts, acrobatics and comedy
JUMP combines the kicks and movements of Taekwondo and Taekkyeon with gymnastics and high-level acrobatics. Rather than presenting a series of demonstrations, the performers weave their physical skills into the characters' arguments, training and encounters with the intruders.
That combination of action and storytelling has taken JUMP to international stages, including Off-Broadway and London's West End. In Seoul, you can see the production in its dedicated theater at Myungbo Art Hall.
