Korean Language Exchange / Tutor Wanted

Community

Hello,
My name is Tony Gilbert. I am currently looking for a language exchange partner or someone who is looking to tutor
Korean.

About me:
I am 26 years old and I am an English teacher at a public elementary school. I live in Paju and I spend a lot of time in
Ilsan and Seoul. I am American and I am a senior at my university, University of Washington. I am from Seattle in
America. I have tutored English for over eight years. My major is Korea and Japan studies.

Who am I looking for and why:
I am looking for someone who lives in Seoul, Goyang, or Paju who can help me study Korean. I have studied Korean
for over a year and a half at my university. I want to continue my Korean language study at Yonsei University starting
in January. I will enroll into the Evening program, and I am hoping to place high on the placement test.
I need someone who is willing to check my grammar and make sure that I am conjugating correctly. I also need
someone who can try and help me memorize vocabulary through my own flash cards. I have to study the first two
textbooks of the Korean textbooks from Yonsei University. I already have worked on one of them, more than halfway
done. Basically, I need to go through 20 to 25 chapters of Korean.
I am looking for someone who can meet with me at least twice a week.

What I have to offer:
If you are wanting language exchange, I can help a lot with pronunciation and speaking and listening. If you need help
with grammar or anything else, I can help, but I do have a lot of experience with helping people to become
comfortable with speaking and listening to English. No experience required for language exchange.
If you want to be a tutor, I can negotiate hourly payment and hours when you would like, however, I do ask that you
have some Korean language tutoring experience.
I am looking to start sometime between October 17-19. I am willing to travel, but if you want to meet in Seoul, I hope
that it can be somewhere near my bus route and not far south. The bus I take stops at Yonsei University,
Kyeongbokkung, and Seoul station.

If you are interested, please email me at gilbert.a.h@gmail.com . Thank you and hope to hear from you soon!
FYI - If you emailed me before about my old post and I didn't reply, please email me again (my email was strange last
week). Thank you!!!
