English Tree Video and Phone English Teaching
Englishtree is an on-line English teaching program based on South Korea with offices in the Philippines.
We are looking for ESL teachers who can teach English at home by online or phone.
Teachers teach students using a video-chat program that has a whiteboard option where they can draw and/or write to aid them in their lessons. Phone will be provided for phone classes preferred students. All classes are 1 on 1.
Video Classes go 20 minutes long and phone classes are 10 minutes each. There are curriculum given classes and no curriculum but conversation topic training is given. The focus is on getting the students to speak as much English in an English conversation as possible, using full sentences wherever possible.
Most students are elementary age with medium understanding of English and business men. A few are kindergarten with beginner English and a few are High School students with advanced English.
Requirements are a dependable computer(Windows Only, video chat program can't be running under Mac), microphone, earphones (speakers are not allowed due to background interference) and internet connection.
Classes are between 6AM ~ 9AM and 7pm to 11pm at Korean time,
There is not a definite number of classes for teachers. New teachers will be given "test" classes with new students. If the parent approves, then the teacher will get a new regular (likely 3 times per week) class. If they parents do not approve, no new class.
PUNCTUALITY is crucial. Teachers absent or even late will lose classes quickly and cost the company dearly. Absent or late students can be called on skype using a skype account provided by Englishtree. Skype can also be used if there is an error with the student's computer.
Daily speaking correction report and Monthly report for evaluating students performance at class are required
Pay: The instructor will get paid 3 USD for every 10 min phone class
session and 6 USD for every 20 min video class session. The
paycheck will be sent via Paypal or personal bank account on the 10th of every month. The paycheck covers the previous month’s classes from the 1st to the end of that month. The instructor shall calculate the currency rate to estimate his/her following paycheck.
20% bonus pay will be given on top of the total paycheck amount. The bonus will not be given if the instructor had any cancels, absents or vacation days.
Payment is done through paypal or bank wire remittance. Due to the international commission transfer process, the instructor agrees to pay his/her share of the
Paypal fee occurred each month. The company will pay its share of fees occurred in sending the commission to the instructor.
