7 Voice performers or choristers, 8 voice-actors and 1 Conductor needed for voice recording (9th ~11th April)
This is for a contemporary art/music project to be included in an exhibition in Europe. Its exhibiting form will be a 6-channel sound installation of an experimental music theatre for 50 minutes. The work will be made of voices only. The whole narrative will be driven by voices of chorus and voice actors/or just actors.
The libretto is written in English, so the candidates must be fluent or native English speakers. There will be some criteria for the performers, please see below.
1 Conductor
All nationality, gender, class, race are welcome including Korean-American
Must be a good English speaker
He/she has to have good experiences on conducting choirs.

One meeting with composer before rehearsal
9th April (Thur) Rehearsal: 4~5 hours maximum
11th April (Sat) Recording for chorus: 2~3 hours maximum

7 Voice performers or choristers (Chorus)
Age span: 20~50s
All nationality, gender, class, race are welcome including Korean-American
Must be a good English speaker
3 Males: 1 Tenor, 1 Base, 1 Baritone (flexible)
4 Females: 2 Soprano, 2 Mezzo-Alto (flexible)
- Performers need to have good knowledge on contemporary music and score reading (Please see attached score Sample 1).
- Who studied music or knows about music well
- No operatic singing needed but if he/she can make plain voices and whispering sound without problem, it will be fine. Plain, non-vibrato and non-too-professional voices will be welcome.
- As well as vocalists, those who studied music composition/instruments/conducting also can be suitable.
- Who have experiences on choir singing (in church or any occasion) will be also good.
- All need to speak English very well.
- Even though he/she did not study music-related subject, those who can read scores and open to experiments will be good.
Sometimes the chorus will sing algorithm-generated melodies and there will be a lot of whispering parts while singing and narrating. Please find the attached sample files and watch this video as a reference for whispering sound (The performers in the video are students in music composition)

- Please send us your sample voice recording of the attached score. Sound quality does not matter, just use your mobile phone. It is just a sample showing a maximum difficulty, and the actual score will be provided later.
(There will be some contemporary symbols and notes on the score. Proper guideline explaining the signs will be provided alongside with the score. Also mp3 files as guidance can be provided if it is too difficult to follow the rhythms.)

Age span: 10~50s
All nationality are welcome including Korean-American
No knowledge needed in music or score reading.
1 Male: Age 25~50s. Role of a Korean salaryman in the Middle East. Preferably Korean-American, who can sometimes exaggerate a Korean accent while speaking very fluently.
1 Male: Age mid 30~50s. Role of an executive. Preferably Korean-American, who can sometimes exaggerate a Korean accent while speaking very fluently.
1 Male: Age 25~50s. Role of a journalist. Native/fluent English speaker who can imitate Middle Eastern accent.
1 Male: Age 17~25s. Role of a diligent high school graduate. Preferably Korean-American, who can sometimes exaggerate a Korean accent while speaking very fluently.
1 Male: Age 10~15. Young boy before voice change. Native/fluent English speaker.
1 Male: Age 20~50s. Role of journalist and other extra characters. Native/fluent English speaker.
1 Female: Age 25~50s. Must be a British with a British accent. Role of a wife of a British diplomat in the Middle East.
1 Female: Age 25~50s. Preferably American. Role of a diplomat in the Middle East. American accent needed.

9th April (Thur) Rehearsal: 30min~1 hours maximum - it will be possible to have no rehearsal
10th April (Fri) Recording for voice actors: 1~2 hours maximum.

10th April (Fri) Recording for voice actors/actors: Near Hyehwa station, Jongro
● Fee: 250,000~300,000 Won (200.000 for child voice actor)
