We are a small hagwon (academy) with 3 teachers looking for a 6-month substitute from March 1st to September 1st. We guarantee a salary from 2.5-3.0 million won plus commision. (Those with more than 2 years teaching experience should start at 3 million)

Our academy is located within 2 minutes walking distance from Hanti Station in Gangnam.
Level: elementary and middle school students, some adults
Schedule: Hours are typically 2pm-8pm but can vary, generally less than 30 hours/week, except during the summer intensive month.
Base salary is 3 million won guaranteed, plus 30% commission. I have worked for this company for 3 years and generally make about 4.5 million during the busy summer month. If you are skilled, you can teach more classes and make a lot of extra money in addition to your basic pay. There is no housing provided.
Classes include: Basic Conversation, Essay Writing, Speaking, Grammar, SSAT, SAT, A.P. English,
(f you can teach SAT and A.P. classes your earnings will significantly increase as you will exceed the 3 million won that you earn from general classes)
I have taught for this academy for 3 years and I am an American. I am looking for a substitute teacher who can effectively teach my classes while I take a 6-month leave of absence, upon which I will return to teaching at this academy.
Eligibilty Requirements:
1. Minimum 2-3 years of teaching experience with Korean students.
2. Bachelors degree with TOEFL or equivalent certication.
3. Knowledge of Korean a nice plus, but not necessary.
4. F-class visa or otherwise eligible to work without E-2 sponsorship. Native speaker, gyopo, all ok. We are more interested in your teaching skills and knowledge!
5. All candidates must be coachable and willing to work as part of team. We are only 3 teachers running an academy together so you must be able to communicate effectively and be flexible.
