The keyboard is detachable from the main unit, there is a factory cordless optical mouse included. memory was upgraded to 1 GB Ram. The battery, like all older laptops, is not what it was, but still holds charge, although would probably need to be replaced for mobile use. I only use it when connected to electrical outlet. There is a. small cosmetic crack in the plastic cover near the lower right of the keyboard, this was not from being dropped, and does not affect operation in any way.
