For sale is my trusty partner 'scoots'. It is a black Hyosung Exceed Scooter. Not sure of the vintage, but my guess is about five years old or so. Originally the bike was 950,000 won (two months ago), and the included plates, paperwork and insurance should save you a bundle.
It comes with two helmets, a set of gloves, a lock and a box for the back, which is really handy. It also has wider tires than most scooters (such as the 'Beaver' Hyosungs other 125 cc scooter), and this is really handy when you are cornering at faster speeds.
For an additional 80,000 won, I'll sell my safety jacket as well, since I am likely going to upgrade to Leather.
I'm going to be getting a bigger bike (250cc or bigger) as I am planning on doing some serious summer road-tripping. If you know anyone selling something in this category, feel free to pass this ad along to them as well.
This was purchased two months ago from Ulsan Autobike (where all the foreigners go), and it is plated, as well as insured (you insure the bike, not the rider) for an additional ten months. Not that in Korea, anyone seems to care all that much. I also have the ownership papers and all the other pertinent stuff. This bike has gotten me to and from Busan a couple of times, and one trip to Pohang, and I have maintained it religiously.
I'll be around for another ten months in this area, so if there are any major issues, we can always take it back to Ulsan if you want, and I can deal with the shop, who have always been great.
