I have a Fender Jazz Bass Special for sale. It's not a traditional Fender model, though. It's basically the same as the Fender Lyte series, but with a different name for the Japanese market. This bass was made in 1988-89 according to the serial number. Made in Japan. Nice thin maple neck, light alder body.
This bass is heavily modified, though. Just about everything has been swapped execpt for the neck and body. It has Seymour Duncan Basslines pickups (Quarterpounds SPB-3, SJB-3), a Schaller bridge, Gotoh tuners, 2 tone and 2 volume controls (passive electronics), new Ernie Ball 45-105 strings with a recent setup, fret level/dressing by G-Cat guitars...It's ready to play! Comes with a no-name hardshell
