Spring is a week away. Time to hit the streets in style.
I have a hardly driven 125cc scooter that I bought brand new last spring that I
am parting with (maybe.) I drove it for 4 months from last April -July, then as I
was working back at home in Seattle I stored it in the private covered secured
heated parking garage of my officetel for the last 6 months, undriven. It's been
pampered more than it's been driven. I got back this week and took her out this
morning. Purrrs like a kitten. It has 5,100 km on it now but before I went home i
did the 15,000 km check up with new belts and fluids because it was free and
under waurantee -A/S. It has custom waterproof snake skin seats, custom handle
and break pads for soft easy grip, removable custom hand warmers that are
warm and air tight (you don't even need gloves while driving in winter). Beyond
that it is powerful enough for the city(120km per hr) and more nimble and light
than a regular motorcycle (for slicing through traffic). Filled it up today for 6,000
Kwon. That usually lasts about a week. Plenty of storage space in the
seat,steering column and back compartment.
(I did COSTCO runs on it). Overall a strong, reliable and comfortable ride for one
or two people.
It's still under full warranty with the shop i bought it from in Chong mo ro. (Near
Haebongchong), until May. I have original receipt and the two receipts when i did
the full service on it at the shop. It comes with all papers, you can check the serial
number from the chasi and compare it to the registration papers. The guys at the
shop are cool and fair and easy to work with if you need anything.
It comes with a "heavy-duty" waterproof, canvas cover, wheel lock, and two
expensive helmets, a small black leather saddle bag good for storing keys, wallet,
wheel lock, etc..
I will be in town until April 1st when I return to Seattle.
(I regret missing the best riding season in Korea!!).
It will cost me 1.2 million Kwon to ship home to my front door and clear customs.
So that is the price I am asking. If that price isn't met I will bring it back to the
states with me.
I love the freedom of cruising the streets of Seoul on this bike and wouldn't mind
doing the same back home. So if the reserve isn't met that's where she's heading
or remain stored for my visits back to Seoul. (But it's such a waste to have such a
quality bike off the streets.)
As of today (2/22/09) this exact same bike goes for 1.750 at the shop without
customization (approx 380,000).
If interested hit the the cell number or email and you are more than welcome to
come by and take it for a spin. I am in Bundang at Sohyeon station (Samsung
Plaza.) It's a ten minute express bus ride from Hannam Dong.
